James Woodhouse began playing the organ in 2001 under the instruction of David Sidwell at St Thomas' Church, Woolton Hill. He gave his first recital at St Nicolas' Church, Newbury in 2005. He plays the organ at various churches in parishes to the south west of Newbury, including Woolton Hill, East and West Wood hay, Hampstead Marshall and Inkpen.

James also enjoys singing and has sung at services in Bristol and Winchester cathedrals with visiting choirs. He also sings occasionally with the church choirs of East Woodhay and Inkpen respectively.

James has recently completed a year at the College of Law, Guildford (where he accompanied the college choir for its annual Christmas service) and is looking forward to taking up a post as Trainee Solicitor in September 2006.
